The Cambiare ® electric cello was designed with the intent of keeping the essential sonic and tonal elements of a traditional cello, but in  a lightweight, sleek, and portable instrument.
                                
An emphasis was put on maintaining traditional aspects and geometry of an acoustic cello; traditional cello players will feel
right at home.  In addition, some modern design elements and materials were incorporated throughout the instrument.
                            
This approach results in an instrument that looks and feels familiar, but with an up-to date flair.  This makes The Cambiare ®

The entire length of the instrument from tail to tuner is carved from one solid piece of select hard maple.  This unitary construction known as "neck through" ensures its rich tonal characteristics and structural integrity.  This also produces an instrument that is immune to changes in temperature and humidity.
